I incorporated my first business at the age of 20. Since then I have owned and/or operated as an executive in a variety of business sectors (manufacturing, entertainment, finance, restaurant and hospitality, building products and computer software/services). I am experienced in the purchase, sale, merger & acquisition processes and have learned the value of serving my clients and the relationships it creates.
Early in my career I was an executive in the entertainment business and worked as Director of Promotion for Heilicher Brothers, Inc., the world’s largest record distributor at the time. Later I was Regional Promotion Manager for MCA Records, Inc. followed by Executive VP and founder of ASI Records, both publically traded companies.
I was the founder, President and CEO of Hayne, Miller, Swearingen & Glore, a broker dealer specializing in high growth companies. I sourced and managed numerous public (NASDAQ) and private underwritings (Mesaba Aviation, First Team Sports, GrowBiz (Once Upon A Child, Play It Again Sports, etc.) in addition to various acquisitions and mergers while expanding the firm’s retail business throughout the Midwest, with offices in Minneapolis and Chicago. At the same time I was a founding partner in First Financial Public Relations which served several publically traded companies. This was successfully sold after five years of operation.
I have served in various executive positions, including CEO of International Concept Development, Inc. developing American and German Franchises (Country Inns & Suites, Blimpies, and Aral Petroleum) in Eastern Europe and Biorefining, Inc. a think tank for proprietary technologies in the renewable energy sector.
I have served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of K-Tel International, Inc. He is currently a Principal of Hayne Roofing, LLC. (Family Owned /Building Contractors) and Managing Director of TC Capital Partners, LLC, which specializes in financing strategies for small businesses.
Historically, I was a member of the Minnesota Traders Association and Regional Investment Bankers Association, as well as having served on the Boards of First Team Sports, Inc., Innovative Bio-Technology, LLC, British American Business Council (BABC) Minnesota and the Minnesota Sinfonia (the family orchestra).
